The definition of Bacteria is:
Microscopic organisms continuously entering the water via bathers, airborne dust, etc. Without proper sanitization hot tubs and spas are the ideal breeding ground for bacteria, many of which can cause disease or infection. Bacteria are controlled by the use of disinfectants such as chlorine or bromine.
